Staff retreat, St Benedict's Burwood
As well as being in and out of lockdown, our mission at St Benedict's has not been slowing down under the leadership of Fr Dan. Having welcomed a few new members to the parish staff this year, we recently shared a retreat day together, walking on the beach and playing games; it was wonderful to build relationships and get to know one another better. Fr Cam has been leading our monthly worship nights, even on zoom, and Br Glen Galao preached at the August worship night, speaking powerfully into our challenges. A new challenge in this lockdown is that both Fr Cam and Fr Dan have to help with the livestream when the other celebrates Mass, balancing the sound and controlling the slides; a good opportunity to learn new skills.
