Discovering God’s love for us and experiencing a deeper, tangible relationship with Him is an incredible adventure. One of the key ways to experience this is through connection with the Holy Spirit.

 

The story of Pentecost in the Bible illustrates how the Holy Spirit “comes to meet us and kindle faith in us.” After witnessing Jesus' death and resurrection, his disciples were instructed to wait in Jerusalem. During the Jewish feast of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended upon them like tongues of fire, igniting their hearts with the love of God and gifting them with the courage and abilities to spread the gospel to the nations.

Over the centuries, the Holy Spirit has continued to transform the lives of believers, empowering them to live fully God's plan for their lives.

This nine week course has three goals, to help us:

 

1. discover our true identity in God and his will for our lives,

2. learn practical ways to deepen in our relationship with God,

3. discern what spiritual gifts the Holy Spirit has given us to empower us to fulfil his unique plan for our lives.

In all of this we will draw on the witness of the lives of the saints to help illustrate how the Holy Spirit empowered them to live out their authentic identity and purpose. We are all called to become saints, to allow the fire of God’s love to inflame our hearts and transform our lives.
