The MGL Darwin Mission

At the end of September, about 140 participants gathered over four days for the Downpour Retreat. MGL sisters and brothers from 'down south' travelled up to help with the event. There were amazing talks and testimonies of faith in a relaxed family environment, while praying for the 'downpour' of the Holy Spirit.

Fr Shehan travelled out to the indigenous community of Wadeye to help run the 'bush retreat' with the team from the 'Disciples School of Mission'. The whole team was grateful for the chance to share their faith with the people of Wadeye.

While the St Martin de Porres Aboriginal community held a Life in the Spirit Seminar, Fr Adam and the other priests provided talks while members of the community gave testimonies of how they had seen God working in their life. The event finished with a chance to pray for the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit Parish Young Adults group has also been flourishing thanks to the work of Br Leander and Fr Shehan.

Great to see the continued work of the MGL Darwin Mission.
