On Saturday February 12th, Fr Tony Alex professed his perpetual vows with MGL. A full church at Penshurst, including two bishops and many priests, joyfully acclaimed Fr Tony with a standing ovation after his profession made before Fr Ken. There was not a dry eye in the house as we joyfully supported Fr Tony in his new commitment. Fr Tony came to MGL four years ago from Malta where he was part of the ICPE, an international missionary movement. After doing his novitiate in Canberra he then joined the Sydney mission, and for the last couple of years has been taking care of the Peakhurst parish which is twinned with Penshurst. He has initiated many spiritual renewal programs in the parish and has been available to many people seeking healing and deliverance prayer, as well as being active in the charismatic renewal in the Sydney region.
